Will record anything from anywhere for anyone Borders Talking Newspaper Enterprises is an established recording service and a fundraising activity of Borders Talking Newspaper. All money raised is used to support the production of our weekly newspaper Since the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act, all forms of documentation must be available in Braille, large print or on audio for those who cannot see to read or cannot hold them. Having set up a recording service for our weekly local newspapers we are easily able to convert anything you want to an audio format. All recordings are made digitally and we can produce audio material on CD or data stick for publication on the internet or other IT uses. We offer male and female voices and our experience shows that two or three voices speaking in turn help to sustain listener interest. A team of volunteers then duplicates this recording. Our pool of readers has acquired fluency and proficiency from recording our free audio newspaper, which goes out to about 200 people each week in the Scottish Borders and further afield. Over the years, we have read full length books, many Council and Health Board documents and Government papers as well as lists and catalogues. For example, we provide a regular service to Scottish Borders Council, reading their newspaper SBConnect and sending it to all our listeners. To date, we have had only satisfied customers! Contact BTNE Co-ordinator, Tom Ingoldsby, by email tom@btn.org.uk or telephone our office to discuss your requirements. He will supply you with a quotation for the production of any document in audio format. Our charges are very economical!
